Three Georgia contractors are accepting subcontractor bids until May 18 to construct a second 7Brew Coffee spot in Columbia County. SD Clifton of Martinez, Milestone Construction of Athens, and Ganaway Contracting of Alpharetta hold the plans.

The drive-thru kiosk will rise at 475 Lewiston Road in Grovetown. It sits beside Beacon Automotive, a vehicle repair shop, just off Interstate 20, Exit 190.

This represents the second 7Brew Coffee planned for the county in five months. Plans filed in January revealed another spot coming to 352 S. Belair Road in Martinez at the Belair Village shopping center across from Marvin United Methodist Church.

All 7Brew buildings are modular, prefabricated units shipped in pieces and assembled onsite, which means crews can put them together fast compared to old-school methods.

Augusta has four 7Brew spots, all within the city's Interstate 520 perimeter. One of those opened on the site of Smith's Chevron, Augusta's last full-service gas station, which closed in May 2023.

The bid deadline falls on May 18. That gives potential subcontractors about two and a half weeks to submit proposals. The three contractors will review what they get before picking partners.

7Brew Coffee operates drive-thru kiosks that focus on coffee drinks and beverages, and the chain has been spreading across Georgia with multiple spots in the Augusta area.

The Grovetown site offers access from a major interstate exit. Exit 190 serves as a connection point for travelers and local residents along Interstate 20, putting the coffee shop near highway traffic.
