The Atlanta Braves have opened sign-ups for youth baseball and softball clinics spanning Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Papa Johns sponsors the program, which brings retired players to parks and recreation centers.

Kids ages 6-12 can join three-hour sessions. They'll learn about fielding, throwing, baserunning, and hitting. The lessons aim to build skills for players at any stage.

Retired players will show up at each session. They'll sign autographs and talk about their time as pros. Every kid gets a hat and t-shirt, and the shirts feature a new collectible design that switches each time.

"As we continue our youth initiatives across Braves Country in 2026, we are excited to announce a robust schedule of baseball and softball clinics being hosted throughout the year," said Greg McMichael, Senior Director of Alumni Relations and Growing the Game for the organization, per WRDW. "These clinics offer fun, educational opportunities for kids to learn essential baseball and softball skills from some of the best coaches in the country."

The program stresses teamwork, attitude, and healthy competition while drilling the basics. Coaches guide young athletes through both infield and outfield methods, covering everything from grounders to fly balls.
